Health Ministry Opens Admissions for 2026/2027 Public Health Training Institutions

Accra, Ghana – The Ministry of Health has announced the opening of admissions into public health training institutions across the country for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The Ministry has invited qualified applicants to apply for Degree, Diploma and Certificate programmes through its online admissions portal, which officially opened on 20 May 2026 and is scheduled to close on 12 June 2026.

Application Process

Prospective applicants are required to complete the application process online using the official health training admissions portal. To begin the process, candidates must purchase an application voucher at a cost of GH¢150, which provides a unique PIN and serial number for accessing the application system.

All purchased vouchers will remain valid for a specified period after purchase, provided they have not been used.

Applicants are expected to provide accurate personal information, including:

  • Ghana Card number
  • Active phone number
  • Valid email address
  • Residential address
  • Ghana Post Digital Address

The Ministry emphasised that applicants must use their own personal details, as all communication regarding the admissions process will be conducted via SMS or email.

Selection Process

Candidates who meet the required admission criteria will be invited to participate in a competitive interview at their selected institutions.

Applicants have been advised to carefully complete and submit their forms, as errors or incomplete information may affect eligibility for admission.

The Ministry also urged prospective applicants to follow all instructions provided on the admissions portal and to utilise official communication channels for clarification where necessary.

The exercise forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the country’s healthcare workforce by training qualified professionals across various public health disciplines.
