Prof. Mahama Duwiejua – Part-Time Member
Professor Mahama Duwiejua is a prominent figure in pharmacy, recognised for his contributions to education and professional development. He holds advanced degrees in pharmacology and related fields from institutions in Ghana, the UK, and Australia.
Currently he serves as a Professor (retired) in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Ghana. Recently appointed Chairman of the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission, he has over thirty years of experience in academia, including key roles at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
Professor Duwiejua has played a significant role in establishing pharmacy education in Ghana and internationally, notably aiding the establishment of pharcay schools in the Gambia and Namibia.
His leadership philosophy centres on honesty, transparency, and inclusivity, and he is dedicated to cultivating a supportive work environment. Professor Duwiejua’s legacy includes significant enhancements to tertiary education and public policy in Ghana.
