Leadership Training For Middle-Level Female Managers

As part of the activities to implement the Public Services Commission’s Gender Strategy and Action Plan under the Public Sector Reform for Results Project, the PSC organized a leadership training for its Middle-Level Female Managers. The project is being implemented under the auspices of the Office of the Senior Presidential Advisor.
The training was held on Tuesday 24th October, 2023 at the Conference Room of the Office of the Head of the Local Government Service.
The training which was facilitated by Mrs. Cynthia Asare-Bediako, a Part-Time Member of the Commission and a former Chief Director of the Ministry of Environment Science Technology and Innovation was object to equip staff with basic leadership skills and to foster effective application of these skills in the work environment. Other objectives included building efficient leaders at all levels in the organization as well as improving productivity at large.
In her welcome address, the Vice Chairman of the Commission, Dr I. Stella Agyenim-Boateng advised participants to prioritize building their capacities, accumulating knowledge and being resourceful in order to enhance their professional capacities and realize their leadership potential.
The training was closed by Dr I. Stella Agyenim-Boateng, who encouraged participants to be confident in their leadership abilities. Additional remarks were subsequently delivered by Mrs. Mabel Amoako-Atta, the Secretary to the Commission, who expressed the desire to see more women in leadership roles.
