No Ghana Card, No Salary – CAGD To General Government Workers

The Controller and Accountant General has directed that, the salaries of employees, who are yet to acquire and have the details of their Ghana Card captured on its system, will be suspended with effect from March, 2024.
This measure according to the Controller and Accountant General is to help eliminate ‘ghost names’ from the government payroll, seepage of public funds and also, ensure the credibility of the payroll.
The Public Services Commission in relation to the directive, has advised its staff on the need to comply and as such, entreats all employees on the Government of Ghana payroll to do same.
